Privacy Policy for Snorry
Effective date: July 4, 2026
Snorry (“the App”) respects your privacy.
Summary: Sleep audio, snore clips, session history, and waveforms stay on your iPhone — we do not upload them to our servers for storage or analysis. We use Google Firebase Analytics and Meta App Events to collect anonymous app usage information (for example which screens you use, whether a recording session was started, and whether you completed onboarding or viewed the subscription paywall) to improve the App and measure marketing performance. Sleep audio and detailed health session content are not sent to Firebase or Meta.
Subscriptions: Snorry offers a free plan and optional paid Premium subscriptions: Premium Yearly ($29.99/year after a 7-day free trial, where offered) and Premium Monthly ($4.99/month, where offered). All payment and billing are handled by Apple through your Apple ID. Snorry does not collect or store your payment card or bank details.
1. What Snorry Does
Snorry is an on-device snore recording and alert app.
The App listens for audio patterns related to snoring during overnight recording sessions and can notify you locally on your iPhone and/or play an in-app alarm.
2. Not a Health App / Not Medical Use
Snorry is not a Health app and is not a medical device.
Snorry does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or health monitoring services.
It is intended only to detect snoring during recording sessions and alert you when snoring occurs.
3. Data Processed on Your Device
Snorry is designed for local, on-device operation of sleep-related data:
- Audio analysis is performed on your device.
- App settings and app-generated recording session data are retained locally on your device.
- Snore session records, snore event clips, and waveform samples used for in-app charts remain stored locally unless you delete them or uninstall the App.
We do not operate a cloud service that receives or stores your sleep audio, snore recordings, or full session history.
4. App Usage Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)
We use Google Firebase Analytics (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited, depending on region) to understand how the App is used and to improve stability and features.
What may be collected (typically in aggregated or pseudonymous form):
- App opens and sessions (e.g. first open, session start)
- Custom events, such as:
- Completion of onboarding (whether microphone and notification permissions were granted — yes/no only)
- Start and stop of recording (whether push/sound alerts were enabled; duration grouped into coarse buckets such as under 30 minutes, 30 minutes to 2 hours, over 2 hours — not exact sleep timestamps)
- Settings saved (which categories of settings changed, not exact values)
- Tab navigation (e.g. Tonight, History, Insights, Settings)
- Subscription-related events (non-financial), such as:
- Paywall viewed (optional source, e.g. History, Insights, Settings, or recording limit — not tied to sleep content)
- Purchase started, purchase completed, or restore purchases tapped
- These events do not include payment amounts, Apple ID, receipt data, or subscription account identifiers
- Technical diagnostics the Firebase SDK may collect (e.g. device model, OS version, app version, crash-related data if enabled by the SDK)
What we do not send to Firebase Analytics through our integration:
- Sleep audio or snore recordings
- Snore clip content or file paths
- Individual snore timelines tied to identifiable health profiles
- Your name, email, or account credentials (Snorry does not require an account)
- Payment card or bank details, Apple ID, or subscription receipt data
Firebase may assign an app instance identifier on your device. We do not use Firebase for advertising personalization in Snorry. Before collecting usage analytics in the App, Snorry requests your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) system dialog. If you decline tracking, Firebase Analytics and Meta App Events collection remain disabled in the App (see Section 5).
Legal basis (EEA/UK users): Legitimate interests in operating and improving the App, where applicable; or consent where required by local law.
Retention: Google retains analytics data according to Firebase / Google Analytics data retention settings configured in our Firebase project.

5. Marketing Analytics (Meta App Events)
We use Meta App Events (Meta Platforms, Inc. and affiliates) to measure how the App is installed and used, including in connection with Meta advertising campaigns. This helps us understand whether marketing efforts lead to app installs, onboarding completion, paywall views, and subscriptions.
Meta App Events collection is disabled in the App until you grant permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) dialog, using the same gate as Firebase Analytics. If you decline tracking, Meta App Events are not collected.
What may be collected (typically in aggregated or pseudonymous form):
- Automatic events logged by the Meta SDK when collection is enabled:
- App install (first launch on a device)
- App launch / activation
- In-app subscription purchases processed through Apple’s StoreKit (e.g. when you subscribe to Premium Yearly or Premium Monthly), which may include product identifiers and purchase-related signals used for ad measurement
- Standard events we log in the App:
- Completion of onboarding (registration complete)
- Subscription paywall viewed (optional source, e.g. History, Insights, Settings, or recording limit — not tied to sleep content)
- Technical data the Meta SDK may collect for analytics and attribution (e.g. device model, OS version, app version, IP address, and — if you authorized tracking — advertising identifiers such as IDFA)
What we do not send to Meta through our integration:
- Sleep audio or snore recordings
- Snore clip content or file paths
- Individual snore timelines or sleep session history
- Your name, email, or account credentials (Snorry does not require an account)
- Payment card or bank details, or your Apple ID
Meta may combine App Events with information it already holds if you use Meta services, and may use events for advertising measurement, reporting, and optimization (including aggregated or modeled attribution when IDFA is unavailable). We do not use Meta App Events to upload or analyze sleep or health session content.
Legal basis (EEA/UK users): Legitimate interests in measuring and improving marketing and the App, where applicable; or consent where required by local law (including consent obtained via ATT where applicable).
Retention: Meta retains event data according to Meta’s data retention policies and your Meta account settings, where applicable.

6. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Snorry offers two usage tiers:
- Free plan — Includes up to 20 recording sessions, access to your most recent sleep session in Sleep History, and local storage of older sessions on your device (older sessions are not fully accessible without Premium). The Insights feature is not available on the Free plan.
- Premium plan — Optional auto-renewable subscription (yearly or monthly) that unlocks unlimited recording, full Sleep History, and Insights. Pricing, free-trial eligibility, and renewal terms are shown in the App and on Apple’s purchase sheet before you subscribe.
Premium subscription options
| Plan | Price (US, example) | Free trial |
|---|---|---|
| Premium Yearly | $29.99/year (~$2.49/month) | 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, where offered |
| Premium Monthly | $4.99/month | No free trial |
Actual prices and trial eligibility depend on your App Store region and Apple’s rules.
Payment processing
- Purchases, renewals, refunds, and subscription management are processed by Apple through your Apple ID, not by Snorry or Lintech AS.
- Snorry does not collect, receive, or store your payment card number, bank account details, billing address, or other financial information.
- We do not operate our own billing or customer account system for subscriptions. Snorry does not require you to create a separate Snorry account.
What Snorry receives from Apple
To enable paid features, the App uses Apple’s StoreKit framework to verify whether you have an active Premium subscription (including during a free trial on Premium Yearly). On your device, the App may receive and use:
- Whether a valid subscription entitlement exists for a Premium plan
- The subscription product identifier (e.g. Premium Yearly or Premium Monthly)
- Transaction and renewal status needed to grant or revoke access to Premium features
This information is used only to unlock or restrict in-app features. We do not use subscription status for advertising or sell it to third parties.
When you authorize app tracking via ATT, the Meta SDK may also log subscription purchase events to Meta App Events for marketing measurement, as described in Section 5. Firebase Analytics does not receive payment amounts or receipt data through our integration.
Free trial and auto-renewal
- New subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial for Premium Yearly, where available and if eligible under Apple’s rules. Premium Monthly is billed immediately at the price shown in the App.
- After any trial, the subscription renews automatically at the price shown in the App unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can view, change, or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Subscription in the App, or through your Apple ID subscription settings at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
Restore purchases
If you reinstall the App or use a new device signed in with the same Apple ID, you can use Restore Purchases in the App to restore an active Premium subscription. Restoration is handled through Apple’s services.
Data not affected by your plan
Regardless of whether you use the Free or Premium plan:
- Sleep audio, snore clips, session history, and waveforms remain processed and stored on your iPhone as described in Section 3.
- Upgrading or cancelling a subscription does not cause us to upload your sleep recordings or session content to our servers.
7. Permissions
Snorry may request the following permissions:
- Microphone: Required to detect snoring sounds on-device.
- Notifications: Required to send local snoring alerts when snoring is detected. Notifications are delivered by Apple’s system and may appear on a paired Apple Watch like other iOS alerts.
- App Tracking Transparency: Used to ask whether Snorry may collect anonymous app usage analytics via Firebase Analytics and Meta App Events. Sleep audio is never included.
If you deny these permissions, parts of the App may not function as intended.
8. Data Retention and Control
On-device sleep data:
- You can stop recording at any time in the App.
- You can reset app settings from within the App where available.
- You can delete saved sleep sessions, clips, and related data using Settings → Delete All Sleep & Settings Logs.
- You can delete all locally retained app data by uninstalling the App.
Analytics data: Data processed by Google Firebase Analytics is retained according to Google’s policies and our Firebase project settings. Data processed by Meta App Events is retained according to Meta’s policies. Contact us if you have questions about analytics data.
Subscription data: Payment and subscription records are retained and managed by Apple according to Apple’s policies. Snorry does not maintain a separate copy of your billing history.
9. Children’s Privacy
Snorry is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where local law requires), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, contact us.
10. International Users and Your Rights
Sleep and session data processed by Snorry stays on your device under your control.
Firebase/Google and Meta may process usage and marketing analytics on servers outside your country (including the United States). Where required, those providers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). See Google’s and Meta’s privacy documentation for details.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Contact us at the email below for privacy requests.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example when we add or change analytics events, marketing measurement tools, or subscription features).
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and publish the updated policy at https://snorry.lintech.no/privacy-policy/ and with the App.
